“I am a professional equine and pet photographer based just outside of Aberdeen in the picturesque countryside of Aberdeenshire, Scotland. My goal is to capture beautiful memories of you and your four-legged companion, whether it’s a horse or a dog. I also offer family sessions and always enjoy when pets are invited to join. With bespoke packages, I tailor each photoshoot to create the images you’ve been dreaming of. From planning to outfits and posing, I’m here to make your photoshoot experience fun, relaxed, and memorable.”

About Me

Hello, I'm Sigrid Zimaro, the face behind the lens at Sigrid Zimaro Photography.

I am originally from Norway but have in the last decade travelled and lived in Canada, Texas and now in Scotland in a beautiful town called Banchory just outside of Aberdeen.

In our time in Texas we got two lovely dogs, one rescue named Gaia and a later a puppy Cataula mix called Simba (he is the dog in the photo with me) 

In Texas I also got into working cow horses and bought my first quarter horse named Boon. He taught me everything I know about working cows and western riding and when it came time to leave Texas in 2023 we all agreed Boon had to join us! So we travelled over seas with our two children, two dogs and a horse to Scotland! 

Boon is now a happy hacker and is also doing very well learning English dressage. We are getting ready to enter our first dressage show soon!

My journey into photography began with a simple desire to capture my own horses, and that passion that has turned into a deep appreciation for showcasing the unique character and beauty of these amazing animals.

As the years have gone by I more and more appreciate capturing not only the horse and its beauty, but also the bond they share with their favourite human. 

I am here to help tell you and your horses unique story.

I am always committed   to continuous growth and learning, and I strive to deliver the finest quality in every aspect of my work, ensuring you receive nothing but the best.

Along the way, my dedication has been recognized through several merits and the privilege of having my work published.

In 2024 I had two images shortlisted for the equine image of the year with the Guild of photographers. Both of these images were created in client photoshoots!
